zhu zhu pets still sold out at walmart
Zhu Zhu Pets continue to be sold out in all the major retailers like Walmart. According to various sources Zhu Zhu Pets will be available at Walmart. There will be 100 Zhu Zhu pets available, 1 per costumer.
The only places Zhu Zhu Pets are available are Amazon.com and Ebay.com. However, they are priced much higher then at major retailers. It is possible to wait till January when Zhu Zhu Pets will be available.
Here is Walmart’s response to ZhuZhuPets.com question about availability:
“Zhu Zhu Pets™ hamsters are among the most sought after toys this holiday season and are quickly selling upon arrival in stores. Walmart stores have been receiving new shipments this week in preparation for their Sunday ad circular. Zhu Zhu Pets™ hamsters are currently “blocked for sale” at stores to ensure the product is available on Sunday when advertised. Unfortunately, a few were mistakenly placed on the sales floor too early which caused the confusion at the registers. We apologize for the situation and any confusion. Zhu Zhu Pets™ hamsters will be available for sale at Walmart stores again on 11/8/2009.”

Zhu Zhu Pets are getting more and more popular as people flock to the stores to buy them. They’re sold out in most retail stores and no one knows if the Zhu Zhu Pets will be available further down the road. There are still Zhu Zhu pets online but little more expesnive. Finding Zhu Zhu Pets in stock for a good price is pretty tricky.
Parents love zhu zhu pets because it takes care of the “I want a pet” from their kids. Kids love Zhu Zhu Pets because they’re very interactive, run around, make sounds. Check out some of the videos on this site of kids playing with Zhu Zhu pets.
Here is the situation for Zhu Zhu Pets
“We get about 50 calls a day from customers asking if a new shipment of Zhu Zhu Pets have come in,” said Danielle Vandeweert, who works at Target in the Galleria at Crystal Run in the Town of Wallkill. “We can’t keep them on the shelves.”
Kelly Ferrante of Blooming Grove had to go on eBay to find her 4-year-old daughter, Lainey, the pets for her birthday.
“I had a feeling that they were going to be hard to find,” Ferrante said.
“I checked Target, Toys R Us and Walmart several times, but they were all out of stock. Finally, I went on eBay and bought a three-hamster set with the playhouse, surfboard, exercise wheel, beds and covers for a little over $200. Lainey was thrilled.”

There is, however, one little glitch. Retailers are running out of Zhu Zhu Petsreal fast, and people are forced to resort to online re-sellers like Amazon who have priced these toys atleast twice of what retail marts have. It seems that Cepia will have to make sure that these popular toys reach retailers in more numbers, or their popularity might be threatened.
The toys are running out quick and are sold out on most online retailers like Toys R Us. Amazon might be the last place you can get these fuzzy hamsters.
